2013 United States Touring Car GT Champion Geoff Sykes has officially been announced as a member of Sony’s newly formed Team Action Cam.
The June 7th X Games competition will mark the beginning of Sykes’ second year of racing in Global Rallycross Lites, the official development class of Red Bull Global Rallycross. Sykes will be utilizing his Action Cam throughout the journey to capture and share behind the scenes content, unique action shots, POV video angles and much more.

This is a big step in my racing career with lots of exciting opportunities for future collaboration.”
In 2013, Sykes tied for sixth place in GRC Lites points, including a season-best runner-up finish at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. After splitting time between GRC Lites and USTCC competition, where he locked up the national GT championship, Sykes will focus on rallycross full-time in 2014.

Outside of the car, Sykes’ background as an action sports cinematographer makes him one of the most multitalented professional race drivers in the world today. His diverse resume includes the premier season of “Life in the Foust Lane,” the Rockstar Energy-produced documentary series spotlighting motorsports personality Tanner Foust, as well as various projects for race series including IndyCar, AMA Supercross, and the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series.
